System: Swiss system of 9 rounds, results will be included into FIDE

 

Criteria used for ranking and prizes distribution: 1. number of points, 2. Progressive score, 3. Buchholz, 4. average ELO of rivals, 5. lot, prizes are distributed according to Hort system between such number of players which corresponds to number of advertised prizes

 

Rating: 40 moves per 2 hours and an hour for each player to finish the game

 

Tournament prize fund: altogether 20.000 CZK

 

Financial prizes in CZK (payments in DEM or USD possible): 1. prize – 7 000, 2.- 5 000, 3.-

3 000, 4. – 2 000, 5.-6.  1 000, 7.-8. 500

 

Accommodation:

The Dukla*** hotel

2-bed rooms with a shower and WC

The Dukla hotel – rooms without accessories

1,2,3 and 4-bed rooms, common shower and WC for 1 floor

 

Overall price 220 DEM includes accommodation at the Dukla*** hotel (1 bed in a 2-bed room with a bathroom/7 nights, breakfast, starting fee, visit to a wine cellar with wine degustation and admission to social evening with cymbalo music

-          additional charge for detached room with a bathroom at the Dukla***hotel  + 50DEM

-          discount for non-playing accompanying persons – 40 DEM

-          discount when accommodated in a room without a bathroom and without breakfast –90 DEM

-          discount when paying in cash at Pardubice CZECH OPEN Festival (12.-29.7.2001) –10% after deduction of all other discounts

 

Starting fee for non-accommodated players: 60 DEM

 

Board-meals:at the Dukla hotel according to your choice, lunch and dinner at prices within the range of 5 to 7 DEM

 

Late registration: players whose application will be registered after 31.8. will pay additional charge of 15 DEM

 

Manner of paying: in cash at Pardubice CZECH OPEN Festival or during registration in the place of doings, payment in CZK or USD is possible

Possibilities of spending free time: Znojmo is a district town with nearly 40.000 inhabitants, its historical centre is a place of town conservation of historical monuments, situated in the wine-growing region near the national park of Podyji, there are wide opportunities of hiking and cycling, in close neighbourhood there is a lot of castles and chateaux.
